Guy Laflamme At 19 years old I came into posession of an f-holed Harmony Patrician guitar and learned all the chords I needed to know to play "The Times They Are 'a Changing". A few years later I got my Gibson J-50 which has been my basic workhorse ever since. A couple of years after that, I chanced upon a book called, "Instrumental Techniques of American Folk Guitar". Country and Delta Blues got me. In the early 1970's I played music in Europe with Michael Cohen, a veritable walking/talking/picking anthology of American folk styles. In the 1980's I had a band called The New Depression Blues and Country Ragtime Band. Subsequently, my style and even what I play has been frozen in time. Every now and then I compose a song. Now, in my sixties, I take lessons in classical guitar...and in singing!
