Little Brown Jug

A promising young band, Little Brown Jug brings the undistilled sound of Appalachian music to the urban bustle of Montreal.  Mary Stockland (guitar, vocals) Erin Dale, (mandolin, vocals) and Glenn Patterson (fiddle, guitar, banjo, harmonica, vocals) draw their experiences and songs from past generations: players and singers such as Hazel Dickens, Clyde Davenport, The Stanley Brothers and the Carter Family.  Little Brown Jug features tight vocal harmonies, traditional old-time fiddle tunes and ballads, early bluegrass and the occasional sea shanty.
