| Like many area singer-songwriters, Isabelle Delage began honing her skills at Sunday Night Hootenannies at Montreal’s famed Yellow Door Coffee House. Her debut album, The Inundation, released in 2006, is a collection of original songs that tell stories of life, love, loss and hope. One of album’s titles, Small Things, featuring an ending coda in Swahili, is regularly played by folk radio DJs around the world, hailed as “truly inspirational - Its written and sung with such moving simplicity”. Often likened to Joan Baez for her velvety, soothing voice and inspired song writing, Isabelle regularly performs at venues and festivals in and around Montreal. |

Isabelle is also a member of the West-Island based group Plain Folk, host of the Side Door Coffee House, a monthly venue featuring music of all types and drawing performers from far and wide. For this set, Isabelle and Plain Folk (Mick Perreaux, Leigh Redding et Val Teodori) will be performing a mix of originals and Side Door favourites, from soothing ballads to toe-tapping rousers. |
